A free, five-day residential program of the George Washington Teacher Institute at Mount Vernon for K–12 educators. Selective application: Summer 2027 applications open November 16, 2026, with acceptance notices April 1, 2027. Mount Vernon reimburses an average of $350–700 per teacher toward travel. A week-long in-person training in Morphology+, an accredited Structured Literacy program for grades 3–5 (general education) and middle/high school (special education or intervention), with research-based tools for teaching morphology, vocabulary, fluency and comprehension. Supports all learners, including students with dyslexia and English learners. Fee includes all materials and is billed in advance. Presented by IMSE.
