ScienceFor studentsA free public event where researchers from the Florida Manta Project share the science of Florida's manta rays with families and students. From 2-3 p.m. there is a screening of the short film "Winged Giants: A Florida Manta VR Experience"; from 3-4 p.m. "Florida Manta Girl" Jessica Pate presents The Mysterious Mantas of Florida. Running alongside it, 3-4 p.m., is All About Manta Rays, a kids' presentation and craft session for grades K-6. STEMFor studentsA free event inviting students in grades K-12 to explore the wonders of Southwest Florida's environment through interactive activities, science experiments and creative nature crafts that make learning about conservation fun and inspiring. Participants meet environmental experts and educators, watch live science demonstrations, discover local wildlife through interactive exhibits and live animals, and get introduced to the library's books and resources on related topics. Exhibitors include Cape Coral Friends of Wildlife, Cape Coral Wildlife Trust, the City of Cape Coral's Rotary Park Environmental Center (live animals), Cape Coral Environmental Services, Cape Coral Garden Club (live butterflies and caterpillars) and Adams Animal Encounters.
