Editorial policy
How we find, check and label every listing on K-12 Workshops.
How listings are found
We find workshops in three ways: organizers submit them, our editors research them, and an automated finder checks organizers' own event pages on a schedule. The finder only reads dedicated event or professional-learning pages, never an organization's general homepage.
How listings are verified
Every listing is checked against the organizer's own registration page before it is published. Automated finds always wait for a person to approve them. We check for duplicates by title, organizer, date and location, keep the organizer's original title, and never guess at a venue, time, price or audience. If a detail isn't published, we say so.
What we don't list
Online-only sessions, councils, communities of practice, internal staff meetings and events without a public registration route.
Featured and sponsored placement
Organizers can pay to promote a listing. Paid placements are clearly labeled as sponsored, and their outbound links are marked as sponsored for search engines. Payment never changes whether a listing meets our standards, and it never changes the details we show.
Corrections and removals
If something is wrong or out of date, contact us through the Contact page with the listing link and the correct details. We check corrections against the organizer's page and update or remove the listing, usually within two working days.
