A one-day workshop in Houston for secondary-level social studies teachers on the Texas Revolution. Content aligns with the TEKS for Texas history, covering causes of the revolution, key battles and significant individuals, and classroom resources. Work closely with scholars, examine primary sources and texts, and develop effective pedagogical strategies and engaging assignments. Teachers receive books, instructional materials, CPE credit, and up to $200 substitute reimbursement; out-of-town teachers may be reimbursed up to $300 in approved travel costs.
