MTSS: Elementary Writing Instruction

This training prepares educators to use a Multi-Tiered System of Supports to strengthen elementary writing instruction. Participants examine how high-quality instruction across universal (Tier 1), targeted (Tier 2) and intensive (Tier 3) supports can be aligned to meet diverse writing needs, and explore key considerations for delivering and monitoring writing intervention. Free, 6 CPE hours.

Civics Training Program (SB 3)

Two-day civics training that builds a factual foundation for teaching civics through close study of primary sources and the founding documents of the United States. Participants practise strategies for civil discourse, media literacy and simulations of governmental processes, and leave ready to lead classroom and campus instruction in civics. Texas Senate Bill 3 requires every campus to have at least one teacher and one principal who has attended an official civics training program, so this session keeps campuses compliant. Free, 12 CPE hours, for one K–5 teacher and principal per campus.
