MTSS: Elementary Reading Instruction

A full day preparing educators to support effective implementation of a Multi-Tiered System of Supports in elementary reading. Participants deepen their understanding of the core components of the MTSS framework and explore how high-quality instruction across universal, targeted and intensive tiers can meet diverse literacy needs. The session focuses on the essential components of reading instruction and how to align intervention with core teaching. Free, 6 CPE hours.

Civics Training Program (SB 3)

Two-day civics training that builds a factual foundation for teaching civics through close study of primary sources and the founding documents of the United States. Participants practise strategies for civil discourse, media literacy and simulations of governmental processes, and leave ready to lead classroom and campus instruction in civics. Texas Senate Bill 3 requires every campus to have at least one teacher and one principal who has attended an official civics training program, so this session keeps campuses compliant. Free, 12 CPE hours, for one K–5 teacher and principal per campus.
