Math Without Barriers: ELPS Deep Dive (Repeat Session)

A repeat of the Math Without Barriers workshop for elementary maths educators in ESL support or transitional models. The session focuses on lowering the linguistic barrier of mathematics without lowering the cognitive demand, digging into the English Language Proficiency Standards and low-stakes strategies and scaffolds that keep English learners in rigorous mathematical thinking. $100, 3 CPE hours.

Civics Training Program (SB 3)

Two-day civics training that builds a factual foundation for teaching civics through close study of primary sources and the founding documents of the United States. Participants practise strategies for civil discourse, media literacy and simulations of governmental processes, and leave ready to lead classroom and campus instruction in civics. Texas Senate Bill 3 requires every campus to have at least one teacher and one principal who has attended an official civics training program, so this session keeps campuses compliant. Free, 12 CPE hours, for one K–5 teacher and principal per campus.
