Math RBIS Overview

The Math Research-Based Instructional Strategies are a set of evidence-based classroom practices that address common misconceptions and require a shift in how mathematics is taught. Whatever curriculum a campus uses, strong instruction balances conceptual and procedural understanding to achieve genuine mathematical rigour, focusing on depth over coverage by spending time on the most critical content. This overview day unpacks the strategies for K–8 teachers and leaders. Free, 6 CPE hours.

Civics Training Program (SB 3)

Two-day civics training that builds a factual foundation for teaching civics through close study of primary sources and the founding documents of the United States. Participants practise strategies for civil discourse, media literacy and simulations of governmental processes, and leave ready to lead classroom and campus instruction in civics. Texas Senate Bill 3 requires every campus to have at least one teacher and one principal who has attended an official civics training program, so this session keeps campuses compliant. Free, 12 CPE hours, for one K–5 teacher and principal per campus.
