Change The Story K-5 Science Workshop

An interactive, research-based workshop for K–5 science teachers and administrators, focused on elevating Tier 1 instruction with the new Science Instructional Guide. Participants explore how to make student thinking visible through science and engineering practices — creating and using models, interpreting and analyzing data, and engaging in argumentation and explanation — and design a student-centered classroom with phenomena-based thinking routines, small-group instruction, learning stations and collective reflection. GNOSEF Teacher Workshop: Science Fair Project Development

An in-person workshop for teachers running classroom science and engineering fair programs. Experienced educators cover project development, ISEF paperwork, quad chart and slide formats, poster examples, and the GNOSEF timeline. Participants receive a certificate they can submit for Continuing Learning Unit (CLU) credit. A $20 deposit holds your spot and is refunded, along with a $50 stipend, when you attend the full workshop.

WatershED Teacher Workshop

Free, hands-on professional development from the Texas Water Resources Institute connecting classroom learning with local water quality. Educators explore watershed function, runoff, nonpoint source pollution and water quality through hands-on, collaborative activities tied to Central Texas springs, creeks and rivers. Activities and resources adapt to different grade levels, subject areas and settings, and participants leave with ready-to-use classroom materials. Runs 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and includes lunch.
