Learn to identify and resolve fatal submission errors, use Texas Education Data Standards and improve PEIMS and Core Collection accuracy. All levels. 2.5 clock hours.

Achieving the Vision/Portrait of a Graduate begins well before middle and high school: the foundations for collaboration, problem-solving, communication, and self-regulation are built intentionally through purposeful, developmentally grounded play in the early years. View and reflect on the documentary Based in Play, examine Connecticut case studies, and explore how essential graduate skills can be taught, observed, and documented through daily play and inquiry. Participants will identify Portrait-aligned skills in early grades, learn strategies for aligning instruction, assessment, and shared language across disciplines, and envision long-term student outcomes.
Professional learningFor teachersA two-day symposium (8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. each day) on integrating curriculum-based professional learning (CBPL) into instructional practice. Through hands-on experiences, attendees adopt strategies to support implementing high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) with integrity, assess their current use of CBPL, engage in dialogue with peers, and create action plans for improvement. For district-level professional learning leaders, directors of curriculum, superintendents and regional and state agency leaders — team participation strongly encouraged. Breakfast, lunch and coffee provided both days; registration fees are allowable under Title II-A.
