Please remember to bring your classroom kit of 12 Sphero Bolt+ robots with you. In this collaborative session, you will connect with fellow educators to share classroom successes, exchange best practices, and explore Sphero’s new AI lesson collection. Through hands-on activities, you will learn how to leverage your robot fleet to teach foundational artificial intelligence concepts, leaving with ready-to-use strategies that prepare your students for the future of technology. STEMFor studentsSTEAM into action! Tweens are invited to create hands-on, real world, and FUN learning activities with the Nova STEAM Academy. Get your brains in gear for the new school year! Registration is preferred in order to ensure the correct amount of supplies.
STEMFor teachersA full-day introductory workshop on teaching the importance of Wisconsin's forests to our ecological, economic and social well-being. Educators learn principles, activities and techniques to integrate hands-on forestry education into K-12 science, social studies, agriculture, mathematics, ELA and general elementary classrooms. The workshop demonstrates alignment to standards, STEM and career connections and literacy links, with a brief introduction to outdoor teaching, plus dedicated time to begin infusing forestry activities into your existing curriculum. Ready-to-use activities are supplied so teachers can integrate relevant lessons right away. Substitute reimbursements of up to $125 per participant are available to the school/district with an invoice; participants should bring a lunch.
