A free event inviting students in grades K-12 to explore the wonders of Southwest Florida's environment through interactive activities, science experiments and creative nature crafts that make learning about conservation fun and inspiring. Participants meet environmental experts and educators, watch live science demonstrations, discover local wildlife through interactive exhibits and live animals, and get introduced to the library's books and resources on related topics. Exhibitors include Cape Coral Friends of Wildlife, Cape Coral Wildlife Trust, the City of Cape Coral's Rotary Park Environmental Center (live animals), Cape Coral Environmental Services, Cape Coral Garden Club (live butterflies and caterpillars) and Adams Animal Encounters. Runs 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; students and parents are asked to RSVP in advance to secure a spot, but walk-ins are welcome.

STEMFor studentsAn afternoon of hands-on science, technology, engineering and math activities for curious minds of all ages. Students dive into interactive STEM projects and experiments designed to spark creativity and a love of discovery. STEMFor studentsA full day of STEM activations and special presentations marking National STEM Day, celebrated every November 8 to inspire the next generation toward STEM/STEAM careers. Highlights include Mission Memories with astronaut Captain Mike Baker, veteran of four Space Shuttle missions, in the Mission Briefing Center at 11:30 a.m. and 1:20 p.m., plus pop-up science lab activities in the Main Plaza throughout the day. Runs 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and is included with general admission to Space Center Houston.
STEMFor studentsStudents in grades K-12 take part in hands-on, grade-level STEM workshops led by the NASCAR Hall of Fame education team. Through challenge-based activities they explore the science of force and motion that brings the sport to life, and earn a special patch for completing the challenges. Runs 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; $23 for grades K-5, $29 for grades 6-12, with one free chaperone per student.
