Superhero Family STEM Night

An action-packed evening of heroic engineering challenges, marvelous math and hands-on science experiments for K-4 students and their families. Costumes are encouraged (no masks), and the first 50 to register receive a free superhero-themed mini frisbee. Free to attend, with donations encouraged to keep family programs open to everyone; registration is requested but not required.

Ready, Set, Drone!: Know Before You Fly Workshop

A high-flying, hands-on introduction to aviation and drone technology for students in grades 7-12. Learn flight safety rules, airspace guidelines and pre-flight considerations, then assemble your own modular drone and practice piloting it. Explore careers in aviation, robotics and aerospace — and thanks to the Academy of Model Aeronautics, every student takes their drone home. Limited to 12 participants (currently sold out).

Build custom track routes and train-powered mechanisms, combine ramps, gears and festive materials into Rube Goldberg chain reactions, and explore momentum, cause-and-effect and simple machines through trial and error. A drop-and-shop event: two kid-free hours for parents. Space is limited to 20 participants.
